Trafford & Stockport College Group celebrates clean sweep in ISO re-certification

Trafford & Stockport College Group is celebrating a major achievement after all five of its campuses secured top marks in recent ISO Audits, reaffirming the Group’s commitment to Health, Safety & Sustainability.

The Altrincham, Stockport, Stretford and Marple campuses have all been successfully re-certified for the internationally recognised ISO 14001 (Environment) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) standards with no non-conformities recorded.

In a further boost, the Group’s Cheadle campus achieved full accreditation 12 months ahead of schedule, also with zero issues raised.

Natalie Thornborough, Head of Health, Safety & Sustainability at Trafford & Stockport College Group, said: “This is a fantastic result and a real team effort. To secure re-certification across four campuses with a clean bill of health and to see Cheadle achieve full accreditation ahead of schedule shows just how committed we are to creating safe, sustainable and supportive campuses. We’re incredibly proud of this success, but more importantly, we see it as a launchpad for even greater progress in the years ahead.”

Auditors praised the Group for its positive practices, recording 28 positive observations across the Audists. The achievement reflects a growing emphasis within the Group on environmental responsibility, mental health and wellbeing, and innovative use of digital tools – areas that will take centre stage in upcoming ISO standard revisions due in 2026 and 2027.

This success not only strengthens the Group’s reputation as a leader in health, safety and sustainability, but also highlights the dedication of staff across all campuses.

Special recognition was given to Adam Sparks and the Estates Team, whose efforts were instrumental in achieving these results.
